I missed the previous video I guess and ai didn’t know about Markie, I’m so glad he did well. He is such a sweet gentleman. I loved how he asked if something was wrong with you. Brought tears to my eyes and love in my heart. Thank you for being so brutally honest about your travails, I really look up to you, you are amazing. 💜💜💖
My goals: 1) declutter. My home is a disaster, we moved here 15 years ago and it feels like we never unpacked. We had my mom living in our home before we moved in so part of that was it kind of felt like we were moving into her house. Then my mother passed away in February of this year and I haven’t dealt with her room or anything of hers and I need to do that. It’s time. 2) I disabled so I find it hard to stay consistent with working out. I saw charity challenge with the American Cancer Society to do a mile a day walk with your dog. I have a year and a half old dog that I should be walking daily but I don’t as much as I should. I’ve lost family and friends to cancer so I decided to take on the challenge and so I am walking a mile a day with my best friend doggo Daisy 🌼 every day in December. 3) take a shower every day, this is hard for me, it takes a lot of energy so I sometimes don’t. I don’t want to do that anymore. Taking a shower is my form of self love and care for myself.

Markie is growing so tall. Glad he did really well. Once we have the experience, we get through it. I love your knit sweater with the fruit embroidery. Looks so cozy.
Any steps (no matter the pace, accuracy or quantity) we make towards our goals is always better than none. We praise ourselves for what we have made an attempt or completely accomplished. It is to be gentle as we care for ourselves. Set the standards to achieve once in a routine then we build the standard to next goal. When something is not within our control, we stay strong and utilize healthy coping.
For myself it is the acceptance of how things are and being mindful in thinking with follow in actions to step forward. Sometimes we have a lot on our plates and it is only one of us. So we have to not add too much all at once. I have bought planners and to-do check 5 days a week log charts. I rarely use them. It is good to use so it reminds us. It is structuring the day. Being OK if something did not get done. Pick up the next day. Then we reward for any achieved steps. Does it feel better to call it steps vs goals? Steps sound gentler until we are in a stride then it is a major goal.
